Sponsoring the garden means providing all the seeds, tools, and fertilizer we need for the year to produce fruits and veggies for our neighbors. Currently we do our produce deliveries ever Monday to family resource centers throughout Orange County.

Every year we restock our ponds with thousands of fish to be grown out and given away. Sponsoring our fish will not only stock all our ponds, but also provide food to fatten them up for the year.

Give Towards a Project
Irrigation - $5,000
Hand watering all our fruit trees and landscaping is no joke. Implementing a new sprinkler system would open up a ton of free time we could devote to our crop production, food distribution, and community outreach programming.
Automation System - $5,000
We currently have our pond pumps and aerators running on generic plug in timers that fail on us quit frequently. They require a lot of work to constantly check on, and sometimes results in crop loss when they decide to go out on us. Updating our pond timers would help us insure safety for our fish and plants, while also allowing us to sleep better through the night.
Water Chemical Analysis Kit - $3,000
Aquaponics is all about maintaining a healthy ecosystem and a good set of biological instruments will totally help us maintain homeostasis throughout the farm. Chemical testing, water analysis, oxygen monitoring, and all the tools will help us provide healthy food for our community.
Volunteer Coordinator - $30,000
Along with providing free food to low income families, we also spend a great amount of our time working with groups at the farm. Folks with disabilities, people experiencing homelessness, school children, transitioning vets, and many others visit the farm daily. Unfortunately, we have to limit our availability to these special interest groups as we are very lightly staffed at the farm. Introducing a volunteer coordinator would allow us to expand our hours, invite more groups in, and give them the specific attention they deserve!
Production Manager - $30,000
The 2 of us here at Renewable Farms wear many hats and have many responsibilities. Adding a production manager to our team would give us an individual solely devoted to the health and well being of the crops we produce for the Orange County community. We believe this would help us increase our annual yield, have more time for maintaining the property, be more attentive to our visitors, and ultimately increase the amount of food we give out each week!
Safety Lighting - $4,500
Believe it or not, when the sun goes down the farming doesn’t stop and neither do our visitors helping us maintain the property. Implementing proper safety lighting will allow our facility to be utilized even after the sun goes down, keeping our guests safe and our crops happy!
Utilities - $7,500
Though our land was generously donated by the city of Anaheim / Aliso Viejo, we still got to pay to keep the lights on. Keeping the pumps running and the plants happy is our top priority in an Aquaponics farm, and until we can convert to solar one day, we’ve got to pay for power. Sponsoring utilities will cover our annual cost to keep the farm energized through the year.
Outdoor Produce Fridge - $5,000
Currently we deliver our produce the same day we harvest it. Adding a giant fridge to the property would allow us to harvest and store food throughout the week which will increase how much we are able to give away to the Orange County community.
