Job Description : Farm Coordinator
The Primary Role of this position is to oversee operations at our Farms; including working with our onsite volunteers, management of the agricultural systems, providing tours for our guests, supervising staff, and general upkeep of the entire facility. Employee will be responsible for the maintenance, esthetics, and over all well being of the farms. This includes both the agricultural component and the facilities side of the property. Ideally, we’re looking for a Farmer, a Fixer, a Manager, and a People Person.
Days may vary from working solo, with other farming staff, or with volunteers.
Compensation
$23 - $25 per hour
Farm Locations
Gold Coast Farm: 110 Park Avenue Aliso Viejo, CA
Riverbed Farm: 1426 E. Vermont Ave Anaheim, CA
Hours
25 - 35 per week
Position requires someone as personable as they are handy, as we have new visitors and volunteers showing up all the time. Employee is responsible for getting to know and working with the number of people that come through our gate everyday, as well as working as a team with our other farmers. As an employee of Renewable Farms, this position also will require occasional breaks from normal farm tasks, when outside help is needed.
IE: Local farm repairs/maintenance, picking up material, help building, etc…
Examples of Typical Daily Duties
Feeding Fish and Chickens, Planting and Harvesting Vegetables, Maintaining Pest Control
Assigning jobs to our Volunteers
Giving Tours of our Facility
Fertilizing and Trimming Fruit Trees
Working with Special Needs and School Groups
Trash Removal from Property
Managing Landscaping
Oversight of Facility as a Whole
Scheduling / Managing task for other Farm employee
Essentially the employee will be our head farm operator overseeing the facilities and one other staff. It will be their responsibility to ensure the facility is clean, working correctly, repaired, producing as expected, and welcoming in our guests and clients.
Ideally we are looking for someone with relevant experience.
